Our history with the Radio Academy 30 Under 30 goes right back to the start - Gav Richards, co-founder and now Chief Technology Officer, was featured on the very first list in 2011 and again in 2012 (back when it was possible to be selected more than once!).

Also featuring on the same two lists was Andy Buckingham, then at Global but who later joined Aiir and is now a Principal Creative Technologist.

And in the Class of 2015, Jonathan Cresswell was highlighted as a Web Designer at Aiir - and is now our Chief Creative Officer.

We’re honoured to be partnering with the Radio Academy on the 30 Under 30. We know how much it means to the individuals highlighted, especially considering how much incredible talent we have in the world of radio and audio.

This list embraces and celebrates people from across the industry in variety of roles - whether that’s on-air, journalistic, sales, production, and from our experience, technical as well. We want to pass the baton on to give more people the terrific boost this opportunity can be.

And as well the benefits for those lucky few - this provides the radio industry an annual reminder to not take the ideas and drive of the next generation of talent for granted. The expertise we’ve gained from many of our industry’s fantastic leaders and veterans came from them being trusted, empowered and enabled to create at a similar point in their careers. The Aiir Radio Academy 30 Under 30 is a great way of ensuring we continue to make those opportunities available, and celebrating those who make the most of them.
