Radio Festival 2021 - Redefining Talent

The Festival is back for 2021, and this year we're focusing on TALENT.

Talent is the fuel of the Radio and Audio industry. In a world where competition for audiences is tougher than ever, talent makes all the difference. Too often, ‘talent’ is used to describe on-mic personalities, but our industry is bursting with talented producers, programmers, sound designers, engineers and others who help create the brilliant content that’s loved by listeners. This year’s Radio Academy Festival celebrates and debates talent, on and off-air – where it’s coming from, how we nurture and nourish it, and ultimately what we’re doing as an industry to make sure the most talented people find a future right here.

How it will work in 2021

We'll be live from Central London and you'll be able to watch from home.

We're all a bit tired of Zoom Boxes aren't we?  So this year, the Festival will be a high-quality production with speakers live on stage, streamed to you wherever you are.  We're delighted to be hosted by News UK, at the events space on the 17th Floor of the News Building in London Bridge.

Panoramic Thames views will make sure of a stunning backdrop as we gather the biggest movers and shakers in audio to deliver a full day of talks, speeches, panels and debates, directly to your screen.

There'll be live video networking with other delegates, and you'll be able to interact with the sessions by asking your questions online. Delegates will be sent an awesome goodie box in the post, so you can get into the Festival spirit, and in the evening there'll be Radio Academy drinks events at venues all over the UK so you can meet with other members and talk about what you've seen (or, just enjoy some free drinks).
