Behind the scenes at The Radio Academy ARIAS...
With over 200 judges across 27 categories and nearly 1000 entries, Awards Producer Jaisica Lapsiwala and Chair of Judges Phil Riley have been busy bringing together this year's shortlist. Jaisica says:
“The Radio Academy's mission is to celebrate the best in British audio and radio and over the last year, the ARIAS has taken positive steps to further promote a diversity of voices and to be at the forefront of celebrating new and emerging radio and audio talent.
The ARIAS judging panels are made up of creatives, practitioners and audio experts who represent all corners of the British audio and radio industry. They have been voting in their hundreds, having listened to more hours of audio than ever before and we couldn't have done it without their energy and commitment.
We look forward with excitement to putting a spotlight on the diverse content produced by talent from across the U.K. celebrating the skill and creativity of so many talented people both in front of, and behind the mic on 7th May. Congratulations to all the nominees.”
