Full programme revealed for the Radio Academy Festival
One week to go! Final call for podcasters, broadcasters, designers, creators to join the Radio Academy Festival next week, on Wednesday 18th September. Exploring the theme of Impact Amplified, the festival offers rich debate, inspiration, sharing, learning and sparking connections, wherever you work in audio.
Speakers include some of the UK’s most sought after names, including comedian Rory Bremner, radio and TV host Rylan, and podcast star Danny Robins, plus ARIAS-winning Trevor Nelson, Scott Mills and Lady Unchained, as well as Team GB champion Adam Gemili, acclaimed broadcaster Matt Chorley and comedian Suzi Raffell. Plus, the Radio Academy Festival: Impact Amplified will be hosted by BBC 1Xtra’s Nadia Jae, Magic’s Neev Spencer, BBC Newsround and 30 Under 30 alumna Emma-Louise Amanshia and Radio 1’s Conor Knight. The annual Radio Academy Festival returns next Wednesday 18th September, at the Royal College of Physicians at Regent’s Park, London. Discussions take place across three stages, with space to meet our sponsors and connect with industry leaders through the day, culminating in the celebrated Festival Party with PPL and PRS for Music.

The latest Festival session to be announced is The Future Will Be Visualised: Where the merging of audio and video is headed next, with Listen, the creative force behind the genre-defining The Traitors: Uncloaked. Host Rylan, co-presenter with Scott Mills of the brand-new show Pop Top 10 speaks with the creators and commissioners from across radio, podcasting and television, to delve into the visual revolution.
Hear from Nick Wallis, the broadcaster and journalist who first broke the story of the Post Office scandals, one of the most impactful stories in the UK this year, not just changing people’s lives but also generating widespread reform, in The Great British Post Office Trial.
Hot off the back of an amazing season of sport, A summer of Olympic-sized impact shares the race behind the scenes to deliver talkSPORT’s incredible coverage of Paris 2024, with Natalie Sawyer and Michael Weadock, and Team GB sprinter turned pundit Adam Gemili.
