Join us for our London Christmas Quiz Night!
We’ll be ending the year with a chance to get together with colleagues from across radio and audio, to toast the end of 2022, and compete in a star-studded radio pub quiz, giving you the chance to pit your wits against other teams from across the world of radio and podcasting.
It costs just £25 for a team of up to five, or £5 for an individual (and we’ll put you in a team with lovely colleagues). The price includes three drinks per person - in other words, a total bargain.
There’ll be prizes for the top three teams, plus bragging rights for the team crowned Radio Academy Quiz champions for 2022.
The quiz night will take place on Wed 7 December from 7-10pm, at The China Exchange in London’s Chinatown. Anyone can be part of a quiz team - friends, family and guests welcome - but each team’s captain must be a Radio Academy Member.
The event will be preceded by the Radio Academy AGM, to which all members have been invited.
Or - join a Branch quiz instead!
If you can't join us in London on 7 Dec, there may be a branch Christmas social happening near you. We're working with our local organisers to hold as many as possible, and so far can confirm:
- Nottingham - Dec 7th, at Nottingham Trent University Chaucer Building NG1.
- Southampton - Dec 8th, at Preez Bar, Guildhall Square SO14.
- Glasgow - Dec 8th, at Clockwork Bar, Cathcart Road, G42.
Craft Beer for this event is generously provided by Toast
Toast Ale brews award-winning craft beers using surplus bakery bread. All profits go to charities fixing the food system. They say: "Our food system is the most significant contributor to climate change, but one-third of all food is wasted. We are here to change that.
"We have an epically collaborative approach, partnering with the bakery industry and other breweries to produce our beers. By using surplus bread, we prevent food waste and reduce our beer’s environmental impact by using around one-quarter less malt (than other beers).
"We also influence broader systemic change by funding environmental charities, collaborating with other breweries and inspiring a community of change-makers to do our bit and have a cheeky pint."
