Frequently Asked Questions

How much do tickets cost?

Tickets cost £60+VAT+Fees, which works out as £80.90 per ticket. We have retained the same ticket price as in 2020. The Radio Academy is a charity, and the ARIAS is a cost-recovery event.

What do I get for my ticket price?

The evening starts with a drink reception (supported by BBC Sounds) at the theatre. The ARIAS show then runs for about 3hrs, and will include live music and great celebrity guests. The ticket also includes access to the official after party (supported by PRS and PPL) which is 1min walk from the theatre.

Is there food being served?

The ARIAS is a theatre show, rather than a dinner. The show time is 6-9pm, so you may like to eat beforehand or after the show. Some finger food will be served at the after party.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is Smart, but not black tie. It's an opportunity to dress up for a big night out. If you're staying for the after-party, make sure you've got your dancing shoes!

Can I choose my own seat?

Yes. When you buy your tickets you’ll be able to choose your seats. If you are a nominee, please don’t buy a ticket in the Circles - you must be seated in the Stalls, as you may need to come on stage to collect your Gold award. Nominees have been sent a separate link to ensure they’re seated in the right section. If you don’t have this link, please contact us.

What are the Covid protocols?

We encourage guests to take a Lateral Flow test on the day of the awards, if they can. Masks are optional, and everyone will respect your choice.

Is the ARIAS being live streamed this year?

No, but audio highlights will be published the next morning in a Radio Academy Podcast special. We streamed in 2021 because it was against the rules to meet in large numbers. This year, we’re returning to a full in-person event. The event isn’t being designed with a home-viewing audience in mind, and filming in quality for streaming would add significantly to the production budget. Ultimately, the ARIAS is a big party, and is designed for people to come together, to meet and celebrate with colleagues, and have a great night out.

Do Nominees get free tickets?

No. To keep our entry and ticket prices as low as possible for everyone, we have not included free tickets for nominees.

Can anyone come?

Tickets are on sale to Radio Academy Members, who may bring guests. The ticket purchaser must be a registered Academy member.
