Created by The Radio Academy – a charity dedicated to supporting people in audio and radio – the ARIAS showcase the very best of UK audio.
It's an evening of celebration, highlighting the incredible breadth of work and the profound impact the industry has on its listeners. Judged by around 200 senior audio practitioners, drawn from all sectors of the industry, it is a huge accolade to be nominated.
This year, the ARIAS have introduced brand-new and updated awards to reflect today's thriving industry. There are now 21 categories open to entries. Full list and entry guidelines on the ARIAS website. Every form of audio – from radio and podcasts to audiobooks and more – are invited to showcase and celebrate their achievements.
2025 also brings in a new Chair of Judges as, after overseeing the process for well over a decade, Phil Riley passes the mantle to Bob Shennan, a leader in audio with over 30 years of experience in media. As the ARIAS' new Chair of Judges, Shennan will be holding a webinar about how to enter and what the judges are looking for on Tuesday 14th January. More details to follow.
The Radio Academy will be partnering with Podcasting, Seriously Awards Fund again to help make the entry process as accessible as possible. The fund reimburses the cost of entering audio awards for independent audio producers of colour and those who identify as LGBTQ+.
