Radio Academy Awards 2014 - Have you got your tickets yet?

11th April 2014

This week, we are delighted to welcome PRS for MusicRCS and SGPB Hambros as partners for the 2014 Radio Academy Awards! These leading companies all have close associations with the radio industry and The Radio Academy and, for this year, replace a headline sponsor. Will you be joining us on 12th May for the biggest night in UK radio?

The glittering Awards Ceremony, hosted by the one and only Chris Evans at London’s prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel, will be a fantastic evening with over 1100 guests from across the UK radio industry. 34 awards will be presented over the course of the evening, including the Gold and Special Awards, and we'll also have two exciting and exclusive live musical performances – watch this space for further details!

Tickets for the Awards Ceremony are now available at £200 (plus VAT) each for Academy members and £260 (plus VAT) for non-members. To request a booking form, please email us now!

See you on the big night!

Come and chat over a pint with radio professionals from across London! Get the inside skinny on their experience, how they got in, how they got on and what you can do to get ahead.

The London Branch committee will be there, and we’ve invited a bunch of other radio insiders we think you’ll want to meet. Whether you’re after some serious networking and careers advice or socialising with friends and colleagues after work, come and join us from 6pm on Wednesday 23rd April at The Old Explorer, 23 Great Castle Street, London W1G 0JA. For more info and to register, click here.

We’re not live tweeting or recording this one but, for connecting before and after, just use #RANetworking.

Listen

In this week’s RadioTalk, Free Radio evening presenter and one of our 30 Under 30, Adam Wilbourn, talks to presenters, producers and PDs from across the industry about getting started in radio. Hear how the likes of Pete Allison (BBC Radio 1 and Absolute Radio), Graham Albans (BBC Radio 2), Rob Howard (Capital North East), Toby Mackenzie (Free Radio), Ben Burrell (Free Radio) and Sparky (Free Radio) began their careers and what advice they’d give to someone looking for their first break!

Plus, more treasure troves from the week in radio history with David Lloyd’s Radio Moments. Happy listening!
