Scotland Branch: The Special Ones

Wednesday 3rd April 2013 | 7pm for 7.30
Admiral Bar, 72a Waterloo St, Glasgow, G2 7DA

Specialist music holds a massive place in the fabric of radio. It breaks new acts, informs playlists and adds a credibility to bring in audiences that shy away from daytime mainstream shows.

Often working in the dead of night or weekends, specialist presenters are the tastemakers that can often get overshadowed by the celeb status of some daytime shows. So we’d like to celebrate all things specialist to find out what makes them tick and keep them so passionate about the music they champion and what the next big things may be.

The panel will be hosted by George Bowie who, as well as presenting the Breakfast at Clyde 1, hosts the legendary GBX dance show and packs out clubs across Scotland. Joining George will be new music gurus Jim Gellatly and Ally McCrae, leading dance DJ/presenter Krystle Weaver and rock god Tom Russell.
