Work Experience

You can also volunteer to help out at your local station, but an organised work experience programme may be of more use.

Why Volunteer?

If you would like to work in radio, being involved with voluntary radio is a great way to hone your skills, and try out different roles.

If you were thinking of pursuing a career as a presenter, voice-over artist or producer, being involved with such organizations would also give you the chance to produce a demo (and may let you have your own show!). But it's also a great experience in it's own right!

The organisations on the right represent the voluntary radio sectors. Visit their websites to find out more.
