Anna Raeburn

Born 3 April 1944

Known for her ‘no nonsense’ approach, Anna established herself as a radio Agony Aunt on London’s Capital Radio during the 1970s and 80s.
Speaking of this era, Vincent Graff said, “If you were a baffled teenager trying to find your way in the world, Anna and the Doc gave you the roadmap.”

She subsequently worked across a range of BBC and commercial stations, picking up a string of Sony Radio Academy Awards.

A prolific writer, she outlined her experiences in a comedy television series Agony that she co-wrote for Maureen Lipman.
