4. Live Music Producers Of The Year
These awards celebrate excellence in the engineering, production and broadcast of live music performance. Neither is intended to recognise the skills of presenters, the scale or scope of the programme in which the performance was included or any of the surrounding broadcast material. The judges will be assessing only the quality of the production and engineering of the musical performances.
The Live Music (concert) Award
This award recognises the production and broadcast (either live or recorded) of a range of public concerts or other musical performances staged outside a radio studio. The judges will be looking for entries which demonstrate the skills of the sound crew, engineers and producers in capturing both the sound of the musicians and the atmosphere of the event.
The Live Music (studio session) Award
This award recognises the production and broadcast of musical performances by soloists, groups or other ensembles in a radio studio. Entries may be either pre-recorded and mixed or live ad hoc sessions. The judges will be looking for entries which demonstrate the skills of the sound crew, engineers and producers in capturing the sound of the musicians.
Award entries have now closed
Accompanying documents for this category should include:
- Up to 15 minutes audio, transmitted or distributed during the period October 1st 2008 to October 31st 2009.
- Up to 200 words commending the nominated individual.
In each case audio evidence should be presented on CD or DVD only.
