Judges are looking for an independent radio production company that has during 2011:

– above all, been acknowledged for producing high quality, innovative and creative programming or content.
– exploited new opportunities in an exceptional way, and
– responded positively to threats and challenges during a difficult economic year

Judges will require evidence to substantiate all entries and this could include references to industry awards, press reviews and other media coverage, financial performance, evidence of job retention or creation, new business opportunities or investment in staff development and training.

They will also consider the structure, presentation and clarity of each entry – it will be a challenge to put the best possible case within the constraints of the entry form, and that is part of the test.

Entries must relate to business conducted from 1st January 2011 to 31st December 2011.

You should also include a sampler of the company’s output during 2011 to a total of no more than 15 minutes. It is strongly recommended that these extracts should be long enough to give a real flavour of each programme — so it doesn’t work to have 20 – 30 extracts of less than a minute; neither would just 2 or 3 longer extracts. Ultimately it is your creative decision but previous entries for this award have worked best with about 5 to 8 extracts.

No other supporting documentation is wanted or will be considered. However the judges will have the right to request documentary evidence of anything on the entry form that they require to be verified.
