Has Radio made it worse?

30th September 08

City University’s School of Journalism Northampton Suite, Northampton Square, London

It’s the hottest topic on the news agenda at the moment – what’s happening to our finances/ our homes/ our pay packets? But are we generating more heat than light when we try to cover economic stories on the radio?

Has radio’s lack of knowledge of the ins and outs of the market place stirred up negative sentiment – and what role has PR played in trying to ‘spin’ the story back to a good news agenda.

Join us for an evening of lively debate at City University’s School of Journalism.

Contributions from BBC economic editor Hugh Pym and property expert Nicholas Leeming of Propertyfinder.com, economist and PR guru John Wriglesworth.

The evening will be chaired by Sandy Warr of Smooth Radio.
