Trustees Elections 2011
The result of this year's Trustees Election was announced at our AGM on Wednesday 25th May. There were five vacancies on the Board of Trustees and fifteen candidates standing for election. A record number of our members voted and the following candidates were successfully elected as Trustees:
The new Board will meet on Tuesday 5th July 2011.
Role of Trustees
- The Board of Trustees is the Academy's governing body. Trustees are registered with Companies House as Directors of the charity
- At least seven Trustees must be elected by the membership of the Academy
- Trustees normally serve for a three year term, but may stand for re-election
- The Board of Trustees meets once a quarter. Trustees must commit to attend at least three meetings a year
